SATURDAY 3 SEPTEMBER 9.05pm (2005-2040GMT)
*BETWEEN THE EARS: A Strange Eventful History*
A second chance to hear this on BBC Radio 3 (in the UK: 90-93 FM)
and online at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/radio3.shtml, this
time with extended Prologue and Epilogue (the director's cut).
"From Shakespeare's infant - via schoolboy, lover, soldier,
judge, lean and slipper'd pantaloon - to the second childishness
'that ends this strange eventful history' we hear the passing of
time in the hopes, fears and regrets of seven everymen....against
a double soundtrack of music lightly tracing the arch of Western
civilisation and the life-music of the last seventy-odd years,
including specially-recorded piano music by Tim & Caelan Walpot
and Matthew Ingleby, 'Twilight' by Adrian Jack, and three
Shakespeare songs by David Landsman."
Devised and produced by Alan Walker and Antony Pitts.

It should also be possible to hear 'A Strange Eventful History'
over the internet on the BBC Radioplayer at any time during the
week following the broadcast:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/radio3_promo.shtml
(choose 'Between the Ears')

*KING'S LONDON COMMISSION NEWS*
KCLA, the King's College Alumni Association, have commissioned an
anthem from me entitled 'Hasten, O God'. This piece will be sung
by the Choir of King's College, London (conductor David Trendell)
at this year's Advent Carol service.

Thank you for listening,
